Add a lead by hand

A lead is a possible piece of work. Leads shows them as cards in columns (called stages), so you can see at a glance what's new, what's being quoted and what's been won.

Create a lead

  1. Click Leads in the left-hand bar.
  2. Click New lead at the top right.
  3. Give it a Title, for example Kitchen refit for Mrs Patel.
  4. Fill in the other boxes if you know them (see below).
  5. Save it. The card appears in the stage you chose.

What the boxes are for

  • Stage: where it sits in your pipeline right now.
  • Value (£): roughly what it's worth. Each column adds these up so you can see the money at each stage.
  • Contact: the customer it's for. Pick someone from Contacts, or add them first (Add a customer by hand).
  • Owner: who on your team is looking after it.
  • Due date: when you need to act by.
  • Notes: add dated notes as things happen.

Move a lead along

Drag the card from one column to the next as the job progresses. On a phone there's no dragging: open the lead and change its Stage instead.

Tip

See a card with a + on it? That's "assign to me". Click it to take the lead.

Customised stages (admins)

Admins can click Add stage, or click a stage name to rename or recolour it. Add pipeline makes a second pipeline, for example for support requests.
